Spondylolisthesis means one vertebra has slipped relative to another. It may be accompanied by mechanical pain, instability, and compression of neural structures.
When evaluation is needed
- Mechanical low back pain with loading
- Pain or weakness radiating into the leg
- Reduced walking distance
Approach
Evaluation includes a clinical examination and imaging. Treatment may be conservative or surgical — decompression and/or stabilization, according to individual indication.
